Employee Spotlight - Randy

We caught up with our Client Success Coordinator Randy Kolowrocki to get to know him better and here’s what he had to say:

What do you do at Exempt Edge? 

My primary role is to act as the first point of contact for tech support via our in-app chat and answer how-to questions and help clients navigate a variety of tools within Exempt Edge. I also work on projects that improve user experience on our software and create stories to implement new features.

What are your credentials/experience, that help you in your role?

  • 10+ Years of experience in customer focused roles, working in the restaurant industry for several years and in procurement for the Calgary Airport Authority

  • I hold a B. comm in Finance from the University of Calgary

  • Personal Interest in data analytics and using data to drive business decision making

What direction would you like to see the industry go?

I would like to see an increase in the use of data to drive financial decision making and improve the sharing of information. I believe there is a lot of untapped potential in using the data that EMD's and Issuers already have that can be used to grow their business' and provide insight into their operations.

What do you like about working at Exempt Edge?

As a new(ish) member of the Exempt Edge team every day is a learning experience. It is exciting to see the work that we are doing and how we improve business process' for EMD's and Issuers across the country. Streamlining efficiencies leads to opportunities for more growth, something I am proud to be a part of.

What are the values that drive you?

I am results driven, needing to see the direct value of my work. I value work ethic and integrity. It is important that the work I do is driving our business, improving client experience, and aiding in both my personal and professional development.

  • Recently read: Homo Deus Yuval Noah Harari & Black Swan by Nassim Taleb

  • Favorite: Lord of the Rings Trilogy J.R.R Tolkein – I have a reading copy and a display copy, so you know it truly is my favorite

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

  • Playing softball in the summers/shinny hockey in the winters

  • Playing/collecting vintage Nintendo games

  • Trying out new local restaurants

  • Attending live music events
